Carrots of the "Hautes Landes de Gascogne" (High lands of Gascony)

Harvested in the heart of pines !

We cultivate our carrots in a sandy soil in the heart of pines, wich gives them a strong color and a sweet flavour. 
We produce and sell about 35,000 tons a year of carrots "Nantaise" type, which has a smooth and bright skin finish. Planete vegetal carrots are 100% hydrocooled. They are brushed which give them a polished and shiny appearance.  

From 2 sites in France and Portugal (Tage Valley), we produce, package and sell our own fresh vegetables throughout the year.

• early crops Portugal : mid-April to end-May
• early crops Hautes Landes de Gascogne : end-May to August
• summer carrots : August & September
• winter carrots : October to March

The company sells only fresh carrots. They are not stored in cold stores.
All carrots are harvested early in the morning and are usually shipped in the afternoon or within 24 hours.

Carrot range :

• loose (10k, 12k and 15K cartons, 10k plastic bags, 1 ton big bags)
• take away (1k, 2k, 3k and 5k PP or PE bags, 1k punnets)

Carrot crown diameter size range in millimetres (all finally selected by hand) includes : 20 to 28, 28 to 32, 32 to 36, 36 to 40, over 40.
Ungraded carrots also available for low price areas, food service or the industry.
